Soup Station

Black Bean Soup

Black beans and rice...and no other flavors to speak of. This soup takes minimalism to the point of not tasting like anything. Possible ways of improving it include adding vinegar, adding salt and pepper, or adding cheese.

  1. I usually add bell peppers and carrots to bulk up the soup; these veggies also get about half-way cooked by the time you're ready to sit down, which I like. Some salt really adds to the flavor as well.
